This is totally a dive and we loved it! If you are looking for fine dining or very friendly service, this is not your place, but if you like true dives and can tolerate some inappropriate political posters, the food was good and the price was low. They are only open till 2 and breakfast ends at 11. We were bummed not to be able to try the breakfast, but our food was very good. Dollar bills stapled all over the walls, plastic table cloths. Very small place, but still had places to seat parties of 8 together. We would go back, but would love to see them keep breakfast open till closing.

Not the best tasting fried fish I have ever had. Hushpuppies were terrible. We have eaten there on the last two trips to PCB and were not happy with either meal at lunch. Probably not going back. Too expensive for the quality of the meal.

One of the best places I've been to in Panama City beach. Breakfast and lunch were both good and the waitress was easy to interact with. They have hard workers there and really take care of their customers. Highly recommended if you can get there.

Laid back, cash only, great food, great value. Servers and cooks are nice, food is tasty, different specials every day.

What a great little place to have breakfast or lunch. The portions are very good sized for the price. Don't expect anything fancy because it's not. The food is home cook style with a great flavor. Everyone was very friendly and will go out of there was to make you happy. The daily specials are the cheapest around served with a large tea and will even give you one to go. If you are in the area this is a most stop and see for yourself.

Friendly service and a home grown local place. The breakfast was nothing special and neither was the coffee. You could make your own and save money.

Local cafe. Great/simple breakfast. Awesome sausage gravy.....the way local dive places should be!

This place has some of the BEST home cooked food I've had in a long time... Great people who work there... I didn't asked , but this might be a family owned Restsurant.. This is the BEST flavored food I've had in a while.. I forgot to take pictures.. I ordered the large Pork chop, Greens (delicious), Cucumber Salad(amazing) , corn bread, sweet tea... I ordered some extra to eat later... Someone mentioned they out their politics on the wall, it was ok with me... They were wonderful and accommodating and so what if we are on different political sides, they didn't treat us like we were... I will def come back, if ever I'm in the area... I'm still drooling over the other food I watched past by me.. I need to try it all

Nice little hole in the wall breakfast place on Front Beach Road in Laguna. Let me warn you - if you are a little snobby about decor or exterior looks, this is not the spot for you. I have to admit that I almost turned around when walking through the door, but decided to stay. Service was fast and friendly. We ordered a cinnamon roll, pancakes, bacon, grilled cheese and pork chops with eggs. I really liked the warm cinnamon roll, but to their own admission it was store bought and not homemade, which is what I was hoping for. The grilled cheese was good, but nothing spectacular. The bacon was nice and crispy. The grilled pork chop was really good and seasoned perfectly. The pancakes unfortunately were overcooked and a bit tough. Overall, nice spot with decent breakfast. Definitely affordable. Also to note - they only accept cash or check.

We come to PCB each year for beach trip and baseball tourney and we wanted something laid back, fast and good. Great little find! That cornbread is straight out of the skillet, no lie. Good stuff. If you want to try a great local joint, give it a go. Wish we had made it in time for breakfast! The collards were good, cornbread, cold frosty mugs of beer. We did not go wrong here!

If you're looking for a local spot to have a delicious breakfast, look no further than Sunnyside Grill. We ordered the French Toast and Grilled Cheese with bacon. Both were spectacular and affordable. Good prices and home cooked food. You can't go wrong with Sunnyside Grill.

Unapologetically local joint with good food. Technically the place earned 3 stars for the food - I got the BBQ pork special which left me nothing to complain about. Was it the best BBQ I've ever had? No, but it was far from the worst. The fried okra was good as well. I wasn't wild about the cornbread, which was corn batter cooked on the flat top like a pancake. That may be the ticket for someone else, but I'll stick to the roll next time. You could argue it deserves an extra star because it was a welcome change to all the "resort bubble" restaurants I've been eating at while working down here. Compared to the 30A Stepford restaurants, this place is like that lovable, redneck cousin of yours that thinks coat and tie means put a jacket on over his cut-off flannel shirt. The big winner might be the steamed shrimp. I didn't get them for lunch, but if they are fresh and local, the price is less than half of what I paid last night for half a pound. All in all. Don't come with 5 Star expectations, just a decent meal and some colorful character. CASH AND CHECK ONLY

Oh dear, what can you say. The menu says "Welcome to the Sunnyside Grill" but the decorating choice is anything but welcoming. Extreme political signs & stickers that are violent, vulgar & racist. It's just sick and ruined my appetite. What are these people thinking? We ate our breakfast (which was fine, just like Waffle House), and got the heck out.

Our favorite place to come everytime we visit Panama City. The food is excellent and the staff makes you feel like you're at home. We have never had anything we didn't like, and we come often! Give it a try. You won't regret it!

True diner. Went for breakfast. Food was good. Prime rib omelet was an omelet with a large slice of prime rib. The short stack pancakes were too much for a college student to eat. Wait staff was great. Order came quickly and it is affordable in an area that is not cheap. My family loved it.

This is a great value breakfast joint. Don't expect to have your taste buds melted because this is a five star review. This place is just outstanding at breakfast basics.

My family has stayed in a condo very close to Sunnyside for the last 5 or 6 years. Based on appearances alone, we've never tried it until now. Based on Yelp reviews, we decided to give it a shot. I'm sorry that we have ignored this little gem all these years. Fresh and cheap with a friendly staff.

This its a fantastic little place for a great home cooked taste. I had the pot roast (sunday special) and it was soooo delicious and hearty. It comes with potatoes and carrots of course and they are plenty enough for an unbeatable lunch, but they also include a side and some rolls. I will be stoping here every time I'm in the Florida panhandle. The atmosphere is no-frills dining, seat yourself and CASH ONLY (they do take checks)!

Okay,, if you want to get good cooking and a straight forward menu here it is ..... This place is one of those dives that you hear about and try to find.. HERE SHE IS!! Breakfast--Awesome Lunch----Very Good Price---WAyyy Cheap They have a parrot outside that has a small vocabulary also for the kiddos!
(4)B G.
Pretty straight forward. Good food and good service. Big plus for me they have kielbasa!!

It takes all kinds but as somebody who's in a "customer facing" industry, I was a bit surprised to see such polarizing - and in some cases, offensive - political commentary. I'm all for having the courage of your convictions but had no desire to explain to my children why the wall said to "bend over". There's a fine line between standing up for what you believe in and being unprofessional. This place tripped over that line and did a face plant into poor taste.

The best burgers! Also recommend meeting a neighbor, as the tables are arranged to welcome others to join you. Locals, vacationers, it's definitely a place to experience
(5)JEFF W.
It is definitely a "hole in the wall". I almost did not go in, but then noticed that every license plate was local (Florida). If you are looking for high end dining, this is not your place. I loved it. The food was great and the servers were very friendly. Will absolutely go back the next time I'm in town.
(4)Tim C.
The food is pretty good here--breakfast is really great. The only concern I have is I was sitting at the bar one morning and I noticed that the cook was handling the food with his hands. I'm not in the food business, but aren't cooks supposed to wear gloves when they are handling food? Maybe he does most of the time, but the waitress came over and said that this plate needs bacon--he reached into the pile of bacon and pulled out a couple of slices with his bare hand....I sort of wished I hadn't seen it.

So if ur worried that sunny side is closed for biz, dont be. There is a for sale sigh outside, but I checked into it and the are just trying to sell the land and it isn't the first time. They probably want to just see if they can get a good price for it. Sunny side cafe doesn't come with the sale of the land, so if I t gets bought lets hope they move somewhere else.

Good country food. Classic Meat & 3.
(4)Jason H.
As greasy spoons go, this is one well-lubricated spoon. The building is not much to look at, but the food is typical fare for the greasy spoon. Delicious! If you're in town, or passing through, stop in and staple a dollar to the wall.

Being the only place on front beach on the west end, it's hard not to try this place cute and artsy looking on the outside, very venice beach, however on the inside brace your self for some good ole attitude, with lots of anti obama stickers. We sat at the counter and ordered corn beef hash, eggs, grits biscuits etc, avert your eyes if you are squeamish, it's a busy grill with a lot going on. The food that came out was good and tasty but no better and no worse than waffle house.Cheap without the cheerful and no need to go again.
(2)Melissa G.
This place has good food but the building is old. Do not be fooled. We had burgers and BBQ and they were both really good. We will try breakfast next time. It worth trying!

My wife and I ate breakfast here for the first time and we will definitely be back. My wife had Eggs Benedict and stated they were the "best she had ever had" ... fresh hollandaise sauce, perfect eggs and great ham. I had eggs, ham, home fries, and biscuit. Home fries are made with red potatoes and were fantastic. The biscuit was so good that we ordered sausage biscuit to go for a snack later. Awesome breakfast.
